Paying for care
How online payments work when a clinic collects fees through Mercurie.
When you'll be asked to pay
Not every clinic collects online. When yours does, you'll see a payment option in two places: when confirming an appointment, and when sending a triage request to a clinic that charges a review fee. There's nothing to set up — a secure checkout opens when you tap to pay.
Paying to confirm an appointment
On your Appointments page, an appointment that needs payment shows a Pay ₹… to confirm button. Tap it to open the secure checkout and pay with card, UPI, or net banking. Paying authorises the fee and confirms your slot.
The clinic only charges you at the visit — and may reduce the fee or waive it entirely (for example, if you're referred elsewhere). If the authorisation lapses before then, you'll simply be asked to confirm again.
The triage review fee
Some clinics charge a small review fee when you send them a triage request — it covers a clinician reading your case and replying. You pay it up front when you send the request. If it leads to a full consultation, that consultation is billed separately.
Who you're paying — and refunds
Payments go directly to the clinic through their own payment provider — the clinic is the merchant of record, and Mercurie only connects you to their checkout (we never hold your money or take a cut of the fee).
For a refund or any question about a charge, contact the clinic directly — they own the payment and your care. The receipt from their payment provider is your proof of payment.
